A 25-year-old publishing company in the U.S

Fox Chapel is a publishing company that provides quality content through books and magazines on cooking, arts and crafts, home improvement, and several other categories for people of all ages. With 25+ years of market presence, the brand has published more than 200 books and introduces nearly 30 new titles each year.

The brand needed a highly scalable platform to accommodate the increase in traffic owing to its growing user base.

The publishing company was looking to provide advanced personalization capabilities for its users.

The brand wanted to integrate blog columns operating on WordPress with its eCommerce backend to provide informative content for users and gain SEO advantage.

Magento Open Source to Commerce Cloud Migration

To achieve better personalization capabilities and improve performance, Ziffity migrated the online store from Magento Open Source to Magento Commerce Cloud 2.3.

Design Refresh

With insights derived by understanding buyer persona and analyzing digital interactions, Ziffity came up with a new design philosophy to increase engagement and conversions.

Performance Enhancement

Magento Commerce Cloud’s advanced performance-optimizing capabilities helped improve the loading speed of the online store by 60%.

Third-party Integration

By integrating the new Magento 2 system with a third-party ERP system recommended by Fox Chapel Publishing, Ziffity enabled the brand to experience the combined benefits of both systems.

Data Migration

Ziffity’s Magento experts migrated data from two different databases into the new store and overcame duplication issues by building a custom data cleanup module.

Cloud Migration and Support

Alongside Magento migration, team Ziffity configured the cloud infrastructure for the brand to leverage the built-in AWS cloud support of the platform.

Store Personalization

Magento’s ‘Dynamic Block’ feature customized by Ziffity helped in targeting different customer segments with relevant offers and discounts to increase conversions.

Ziffity created a custom script that extracts information like weblogs and other detailed metrics to monitor the website continuously and improve request processing on the go.

WordPress Integration

The blog contents hosted in WordPress were integrated into the Magento 2 backend leveraging Magento Commerce Cloud’s Fastly CDN.

Custom Modules

Team Ziffity built 10+ custom modules to power the website with functionalities to provide a memorable user experience.
