Our Cloud services offering includes Migration (on premise to cloud or cloud-to-cloud migration), Modernization (building / re-engineering), managed services (on-going management of all of your cloud assets, on-demand 24/7 support), and DevOps (build CI/CD, run and maintain).
How do I migrate from on-premise to cloud?
Our Cloud experts will perform an as-is analysis on existing infrastructure and applications built/managed over it. Based on the outcome of the study, a migration strategy and a plan will be defined, which will include the approach to migration, schedule, cost, and risk involved.
Overall the project will be split into discovery and migration, Ziffity will provide a quote on discovery first and upon completion of discovery, will provide the second quote on the migration project.
How do I modernize from my legacy application to cloud native application?
Cloud migration doesn’t have to stop moving your application from on premise to cloud. It can also be about re-engineering your legacy application to cloud native form making your application more scalable, flexible, secure, cost effective, and better performing. During our business hours, the team will be available by email/chat/call for support. During non-business hours we provide on-call service for critical issues. You will be provided the team’s contact number for on-call support.

How much does a cloud migration project cost?
Well, it would obviously depend on your needs with respect to infra and application re-engineering. We usually split the cost into 3 parts, existing, migration, and post-migration cost. At the end of discovery project, we will be able to provide a fixed price quote for migration, and an ongoing monthly price for post-migration managed services. I wish it was one price fits all, but that isn’t the case, so please get in touch with us.
Alternatively, if you or your team has some technical capabilities, you can try out the AWS/Azure/GCP pricing calculators (just search for it), but know that it will only give you the hardware cost and not include labor for migration, etc.
How do I choose among Azure, AWS and GCP?
There are various parameters by which you can evaluate these platforms. Some of the parameters are compute, storage, database, AI/ML Services, APIs, backup, security, automation, pricing, service level, etc. The weightage for these parameters will depend on your need. For some compute might have more weightage than storage or price. We will have to understand your needs before proposing a platform.
Do you provide any cloud security related services?
Yes, we will start with assessing your current security measures in place, then provide a to-be state to achieve depending on the level of security you need for your application/infra. Some of our services include Cloud IAM, Cloud Penetrating testing, PCI(via 3rd party), continuous monitoring, deploying security patches, threat management (like averting DDOS attacks), implementing secure-by-design practices, among others.
What if I am not happy with the work done by Ziffity?
We believe in de-risking our customers and hence provide one-month-performance-check-clause. During the first month of the engagement, if you are not happy with our work, communication, or any part of the partnership, you are free to disengage with Ziffity. You don’t have to pay us anything for the work done so far. In other words, we waive off your liability to us.
How does the project communication happen?
During the discovery phase, which is typically 2 to 4 weeks, we insist on having daily web meets. Post discovery, depending on the need, it would boil down to once or twice a week. And also, a monthly steering committee meeting, which would involve all senior stakeholders from both ends, to discuss progress and client satisfaction. Apart from calls, communication will happen via emails, Slack, Jira, and Confluence.

How does the payment terms work?
Ziffity will raise the invoice at the beginning of each month for the preceding month’s effort, between the timesheet and minimum monthly hours. Whichever is higher will be billed to the customer. Our preferred mode for receiving payments will be wire transfer. In case you wish to have some other mode, you can always inform your relationship manager or write an email to email@example.com. Our standard payment term is net 15 days.
