USESI is an electrical supply giant in the U.S.A.'s wholesale electrical components distribution market. USESI holds 14+ subsidiary brands located at different locations and caters to a diverse customer base which includes electricians, contractors, corporate clients, architects, engineers, and lighting designers.
Challenges
The eCommerce store had various customization done to accommodate complex business logic and B2B2C specific features. Releasing features became increasingly difficult as the business had more than two releases per day.
Manually testing the releases became difficult and hindered the brand’s pace to add new experiences for customers faster.

Test Automation
Team Ziffity chose test automation as the solution to facilitate faster releases. Using Selenium, Ziffity’s QA engineers created test scripts for Application and Integration Testing.
Application Testing
With hands-on experience in eCommerce, Ziffity developed automated test scripts to test the use cases that frequent an eCommerce application like ‘Add to cart’, ‘Add to Wish List’. Team Ziffity’s test scripts also automated testing across pages like the home page, product listing, product detail pages etc.
Integration Testing
Under integration testing, Ziffity built scripts to automate testing of real-time price calls, stock levels and so on.
Unit Testing
Ziffity enabled the automated test runs by integrating unit testing right into the development pipeline. This helped developers to test codes of areas like tax calculation, price, inventory and ensure their quality from the development phase.
