Challenges

They were spending a lot on infrastructure that was more than what was required.

The performance of the application, especially loading time was high.

Solutions

Infrastructure Analysis

Team Ziffity performed a thorough analysis of the client’s existing eCommerce cloud setup to prepare a new AWS infrastructure that’s ideal for accommodating a successful migration from the old environment.

Migration to AWS

The client’s eCommerce setup consisting of 2 websites in a single Magento instance was migrated to a newly built AWS cloud infrastructure retaining the custom code, user data, and 3rd party integrations.

Cloud Managed Services

By successfully migrating the eCommerce store to AWS Cloud and providing continued managed services, Ziffity helped the brand improve efficiency, IT consistency, and application security.

Performance Improvement

By setting up Route53 for DNS management, Ziffity’s team was able to speed up the network response. The team also performed server side and application optimization to improve performance. This led to a reduction in page loading time from 7 sec-35 sec to 2 sec-10 sec.

Cost Reduction

By using AWS CloudFront the team was able to reduce the utilization of backend servers which led to reduction in the infrastructure cost. Customised script implemented to utilise the lower environments effectively based on the usage to reduce the cost.

Improved Web Traffic Management

By using AWS’s Elastic Load Balancing (ELB), the team was able to automatically distribute incoming application traffic and scale resources to meet traffic demands. There are no more surprises that lead to application downtime.

Security Improvements

Another layer of security was brought in by introducing SSL SAN Certificate for multiple domains. The SSL certificate was offloaded in the Load Balancer adding the security layer one step before the server.

End-to-end SSL certificate offloaded from CDN (Content Delivery Network) to Backend servers.
